Elize Rossouw - (BOccTher) Bachelor of Occupational Therapy

Elize graduated with a degree in Occupational Therapy in 1998. She has gained valuable experience working in the public and private sector locally as well as abroad. Using highly developed assessment skills she is adept at managing complex care of clients, involving families and relevant services as an essential part of the team. While working in the private sector Elize has developed specialist skills and experience in the field of Physical, Cognitive, Neuro and Vocational Rehabilitation. She has a keen interest working with clients who have sustained Traumatic Brain Injury, Stroke and Spinal Injury.

  • Liaising with other healthcare professionals on the treatment for patients to ensure they receive the best possible holistic care
  • Developing relationship with care agencies to ensure care provided is excellent
  • Working together with clients and Surveyors in drawing up of plans and schedules for adaptations required
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of intervention to ensure plan in place achieves optimal outcome for the client

2005 - 2011 London Borough of Sutton: Senior Occupational Therapist. Managed complexed cases in adult services which required major adaptations and specialist equipment, re-housing and manual handling assessments.

June 2005 - August 2005 London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea: Locum Occupational Therapist in adult services, completing assessments for major adaptations and specialist equipment.
