Katrina has worked as a Brain Injury Case Manager for Independent Living Solutions since 2008.

Katrina has a wealth of experience working with adults and adolescents with neurological conditions including traumatic brain injury supporting individuals in a, holistic manner to achieve their goals.

Katrina’s extensive mental health experience is greatly advantageous when working with clients who are experiencing psychological difficulties post injury or/and with those who have been diagnosed with psychiatric difficulties prior to trauma.

She is a fully qualified Occupational Therapist.

Employment

2008 – Present Case Manager/Occupational Therapist with ILS. Working with a wide range of clients, including brain injury, stroke, amputation, mental health and learning disabilities. Experience of setting up care packages and supervising support staff.

August 2008 – September 2010 Senior Occupational Therapist, part time, Parklands Hospital Basingstoke. Working with adults with acute mental health problems. Support for military personnel experiencing post-traumatic stress.

May 2006 - 2008 Senior Occupational Therapist. (Private, Harrisons Associates) Independent practice, working with a young lady with acquired brain injury in her own home.

March 2007- August 2008 Occupational Therapy manager. Leigh House Hospital Winchester. Working with children and adolescents with mental health needs including eating disorders and behavioural assessment. Supporting service users with accessing education and vocational opportunities. Supervising and leading a therapy team.

March 2006 – March 2007 Senior Occupational Therapist, Parklands Hospital. Basingstoke. Acute adult inpatient unit.

November 2003 – February 2006 Senior Occupational Therapist. Thornford Park Hospital Thatcham. Working with adults who have a Forensic mental health problem.

July 2003 – November 2003 Broadmoor Hospital. Senior Occupational Therapist (Locum). Working with adults in a Maximum secure hospital on the admission ward.

June 2003 – July 2003 Senior Community Occupational Therapist, (Locum). Havant. Working with adults with severe and enduring mental health needs in a community setting and outpatient clinic.

May 2003 – June 2003 Lord Mayor Treloar College. Senior Occupational Therapist. Working in a residential college with students who have a physical and/or behavioural dysfunction, neurological disabilities, including brain injury.

February 2003 – May 2003 Senior Occupational Therapist (Locum) Elderly Mental Health inpatient and community. Working with elderly patients who have functional and organic mental health problems. Involvement in the memory clinic.
