Overview

Daryl qualified in 2000 at The University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa with a BSc in Occupational Therapy. She moved to the UK the following year and worked in a variety of settings until moving into the area of Neuro-Rehabilitation in 2002. Daryl has gained experience in hospital and community settings as well as working with adults with acquired brain injuries (ABI) at DMRC Headley Court. Roles have included setting up and running services, providing Neuro-rehabilitation, supervising staff and liaising closely with other professionals and agencies to ensure the best care package is provided for each client and their family. She has joined Independent Living Solutions to provide Case Management and Occupational Therapy to clients following Acquired Brain Injury.

Senior Locum Occupational Therapist for Sutton and Merton Community Rehabilitation Team.

2003-2005

Senior Occupational Therapist in Neuro Team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Chelsea London. This position included treating clients with Neurological conditions both as in patients and in the community. Following clients from hospital to home provided a clear understanding of the importance of continuity of care and a good care package  being in place to support the clients and their families.
