Overview
Leslie Qualified as a Registered Nurse for Mental Health in 1983 from Northgate School of Nursing, Morpeth, Northumberland.
He worked as a Staff Nurse in the NHS in both Mental Health and Mental Illness settings until 1998. He began working in private healthcare as a Senior Nurse, specialising in Mental Health, Behavioural Analysis and Rehabilitation as well as becoming Unit Training Officer. Developing his interest in training he became Senior NVQ Assessor (Health & Social Care) based in Carlisle. In 2004 he became Unit Manager supporting a client with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), overseeing a 24 hour care package whilst developing skills within Neuro-Rehabilitation.
Since 2006 Leslie has been the Registered Manager for Adult Placement Services in Cumbria, recruiting, assessing and managing carers and clients whilst directing appropriate care packages for vulnerable adults across the county.
