Overview
June qualified in 1976 as an Occupational Therapist from The London School of Occupational Therapy and has 34 years of experience working as an Occupational Therapist. She has experience of working with clients having a wide range of medical conditions, from different cultural backgrounds, and with very varied needs.
June has 15 years of case management experience working with both adults and children within Social Services and subsequently ILS, including clients with progressive terminal conditions.

2003 – Present:
Working for Independent Living Solutions as a Case Manager and Occupational Therapist. Presently case managing children and adults with Acquired Brain Injury and other complex medical conditions, also providing Occupational Therapy input as needed, and supporting other case managers with staff induction and supervision.
Experience includes:
- Enabling clients to find and purchase suitable properties, instigating the required adaptations
- Setting up and monitoring care packages to support clients to live independently
- Assisting claimants, prior to and following case settlement, to meet their assessed needs, including therapies, equipment, adaptations, care as required
- Supporting Receivers in their role
- Successfully supporting children through the appeal/tribunal process of the Statement of Educational Need and obtaining recognition and funding for an appropriate school placement
- Acting as Case Manager for children with unique and unusual diagnosis, e.g multiple amputations and severe disability
- Successfully assisting clients with their transition to adulthood, and moving from the family home to residential care
- Successfully supporting adults and the elderly, with discharge from hospital into the community
- Supporting clients who are experiencing progressive or terminal illnesses and helping their families to care for them effectively.

June is an advanced member of BABICM (British Association of Brain Injury Case Managers) and a member of CMSUK (Case Management Society of United Kingdom) BAOT (British Association of Occupational Therapists) and the Health Professional Council. She is presently training as a Moving and Handling assessor.
June has undertaken Counselling and Open University Management courses.
She has also attended courses relating to the specialised equipment, adaptations and case management of adults and children with acquired brain injury and complex medical conditions.
