Overview

Richard qualified as a Social Worker in 2005 after studying at Suffolk College, gaining the Diploma in Social Work.

Richard is employed by ILS as a Case Manager/Social Worker and joined us with 4 years case management experience and as an Advanced Member of BABICM. Richard’s area of practice is with Children and Young People and his case management experience is in addition to 15 years practice with CYP in the statutory and private sector.

Areas of Work

Richard’s experience is based on almost 20 years practice in the childcare sector in a number of settings. Richard has worked with children and young people displaying a range of complex needs, including emotional behaviour disabilities, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Brain Injury.

Richard has worked in a number of settings in both the private and statutory sector supporting pupils with special needs and/or challenging behaviour. He is a member of the CYP study group at BABICM and has helped develop training and support for brain injury case managers.
