Overview
Phil manages the Operations, Human Resources and Learning and Development teams for ILS.
He liaises with personal injury and clinical negligence solicitors on a day to day basis ensuring professional cost effective case management is provided to clients both during the litigation process and post settlement of their claims.
Experience
Phil has extensive experience of managing services for adults with a range of disabilities in the statutory, private and voluntary sectors. He has specific clinical experience supporting individuals with mental health issues, learning disabilities and acquired brain injury. He has developed considerable skills in establishing, supporting and monitoring teams, ensuring the delivery of high quality care and support to individuals in a variety of settings all in line with care quality commission requirements.

- The recruitment of Case Managers and Specialist Service Therapists

- Monitoring standards of care delivered to our clients and Care Quality Commission (CQC) compliance.
2006 – 2008
Lifeways Community Care Ltd, Area Manager. Establishing the organisation and its services in a new geographical area. Commissioning and providing support to individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs, through supported living, individualised budgets and direct payments.
1998 – 2006
Community Integrated Care, Service Manager. Providing operational management and leadership to a range of services including nursing homes, residential care homes, supported living services, domiciliary care and various community settings for individuals with mental health issues, learning disabilities and complex needs. Budgetary responsibility in excess of £6 million per annum.
1994 – 1998
National Schizophrenia Fellowship (Rethink). Locality Manager, Commissioning, establishing and monitoring accommodation based support (residential and supported living) for individuals with mental health needs.
1991- 1994
Southampton and South West Hampshire Health Authority, Senior Trained Nurse. Transferring of patients and staff from a large mental health institution to the community.
