Overview
Susie is a state registered occupational therapist who qualified in 1994 from University College of Ripon and York St John with a BHSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy. Since then she has worked almost exclusively with children, young people and their families.
Susie is an experienced paediatric case manager with over five years’ case management experience. She is also employed by ILS as a professional mentor for other case managers and is also the ILS Learning and Development Coordinator. In addition she is an independent occupational therapy trainer delivering various training programmes to both statutory and private organisations. She joined Independent Living Solutions in January 2007.

Areas of Work
Since qualifying as an Occupational Therapist, Susie has worked primarily with children, adolescents and their families and adults in various settings. She has developed specialist knowledge and skills working as an occupational therapist with children with both emotional and behavioural problems and with physical and learning disabilities. Assessment and provision of equipment and home adaptations for disabled children and young people are specific areas of expertise. As a case manager she has considerable experience in setting up and managing care packages, (including 24 hour care teams) for children living at home.
She is an experienced trainer and is regularly involved in running various training events for ILS case managers and carers/support workers.
