Overview
Rosemary qualified as an Occupational Therapist (DipCOT) in 1993 from St. Loye’s School of Occupational Therapy in Exeter, and studied for a Master of Science Higher Degree in Occupational Therapy (MSc) in 1999 by Exeter University. She has undertaken considerable further training to widen her skills and knowledge, and to fulfill the conditions for registration with the HPC.
She was employed by Local Authority Children and Families Services for 17 years as a Senior Community Paediatric Occupational Therapist. Her expertise is in meeting the needs of children and young people who have complex, severe, and multiple physical disabilities resulting from acquired illness, accident, or present at birth. Rosemary is now an Independent Occupational Therapist who has joined Independent Living Solutions for Case Management/ Occupational Therapy work.

Areas of Work
As an Occupational Therapist, Rosemary has worked exclusively with children and families. She has considerable experience in meeting the needs of both children who have a variety of acquired or congenital disabling conditions, and also those of the parents of disabled children who themselves have a disability following illness, accident or birth.
Her expertise is in assessment of the needs of disabled children in a variety of settings, with subsequent treatment, provision of specialist equipment, environmental adaptations to overcome presenting problems. She is experienced in working closely with other professionals from the Health, Education, Social Services and Voluntary Sectors, to bring about integrated service outcomes and packages of care.
