Overview
Jessica qualified in 2000 from University College of York St John with a first class Bachelor of Health Science Honours Degree in Occupational Therapy.
Jessica gained early in her career as an Occupational Therapist varied professional experiences of working with Adults in the realms of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She began to specialise in Neurological assessment and treatment in 2001 and has since then developed her expertise in working as part of multidisciplinary teams and subsequently lead occupational therpist of a therapy team for adult stroke and brain injury victims.

Senior Occupational Therapist for Surrey PCT in the Community Stroke Team based at the Milford Hospital, Farnham. This post has involved Jessica working with a Physiotherapist colleague to establish a new service to support early transfer of care from inpatient to community settings; this is now a highly successful 10 strong team of therapists and nurses providing a service to around 70 patients per year.
2001 - 2003
Senior Occupational Therapist for Priory Healthcare at Unsted Park Hospital Brain Injury Unit, Godalming in Surrey; this work included assessment of individuals with cognitive deficits following brain injury and implementation of individual and group treatment programmes. She also took an active role in service development including training and supervision for support workers and therapy assistants.
2000 - 2001
Newly qualified Basic Grade Occupational Therapist covering a physical medicine rotation within the Royal Surrey County Hospital; this included assessment and treatment of patients as part of multidisciplinary teams within general medical, neurological and cardiac rehabilitation and care of the elderly specialisms.
