Christine qualified in 1979 from York School of Occupational Therapy with a Diploma in Occupational Therapy and has continuously updated her skills with further study, recently achieving a post graduate certificate and her Masters degree. She has vast clinical and managerial experience and skill in working with children, young adults, adults with complex disabilities including those with spinal injuries, their families and care teams.

Christine was employed in the NHS in Intermediate Care. She assessed complex cases both from an OT perspective and also from an interdisciplinary perspective. This work also involved care planning and case management. Christine managed a team of OT's, Physiotherapists and Nurses, coordinating client care.

Christine had a career break to have a family.

Senior Occupational Therapist, working with younger disabled clients from the fields of spinal injury, orthopaedics, acquired brain injury, amputees and neurology. A major part of this work included assessment of need for equipment and adaptation, as well as Occupational Therapy to enable clients and their carers to remain as independent as possible. She was also involved assessing disabled school leavers and integrating them into adult services, further education and independent living.
