Overview
Anita is a HPC Registered Occupational Therapist who qualified in 1982 from the London School of Occupational Therapy. Since then Anita has worked in both community and clinical settings, with both children and adults who have a wide range of disabilities.
Anita has specialised in paediatrics since 2003, primarily with children with neuro-developmental disorders.

Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist for an independent charity providing therapy to children, under 5 years old, who have a diagnosis of Neurodevelopmental delay, mostly in the form of cerebral palsy, but including aspects of sensory integration and autistic spectrum disorders as well as visual or hearing impairment.
Anita work's within a multi-disciplinary team to plan, execute and review individual management plans working on specific individual functional goals. This specialist team use a combination of treatment approaches, including Bobath, Sensory Integration and 24 hour postural management.
Additionally Anita assesses for specialist equipment in home and in school, provides manual handling guidance and advises on resources for transition into nursery or school.
Independent Occupational Therapist providing professional assessments and reports, to support an educational placement and adaptations to the home. Anita is developing a training course aimed at education providers, who are working in mainstream settings with children with Cerebral Palsy.

Community Occupational Therapist Working for the London Borough of Hounslow and Surrey County Council, to provide equipment and adaptations for children and adults, in their own homes. Anita has had extensive training in the field of major adaptations and experience of liaising with architects, manufacturers and funding authorities.
