Overview
Liz is a state registered occupational therapist who qualified in 1998 from Southampton University with a BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy. She has worked as a senior occupational therapist in paediatrics since 2000. She has worked with children who have a wide range of complex physical, sensory and learning needs from birth to nineteen years of age. Liz is employed by Independent Living Solutions as a Case Manager and also works part time for a City Council as an Occupational Therapist.

Liz has the ongoing responsibility for managing the OT service within the children’s disability team. This includes work with young people up to eighteen years of age who are transitioning into adulthood.

Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist with lead responsibility for children with sensory processing disorders and therapy through play groups for 0-5 year olds with complex needs. Liz has led a team providing assessment and management of children at a special school. This includes specialist equipment provision and manual handling advice for children with complex needs at school and home. Liz has also been involved in the rehabilitation of children and adolescents with acute injuries and neurological conditions. Liz has experience of key-working for families and helping to co-ordinate the multi-agency team around the child. She was a trainer for early support.
