Staff Training & Support
At ILS, we believe high quality staff training and support for our Case Managers is essential in ensuring our clients receive the high quality services that they deserve.
Every Case Manager has an assigned professional mentor who provides them with regular individual support, supervision and guidance as well as an annual appraisal. All our professional mentors are experienced Case Managers with an active case load.
In addition to this, our dedicated training coordinator, in conjunction with the mangement team and professional mentors organises an ongoing training programme for all staff which includes:
- Comprehensive induction programme for all staff
- Ongoing rolling training programme open to all Case Managers covering various topics (e.g employment and recruitment, child/adult protection, moving and handling)
- Two annual company training days per year.
Funding is also available for staff to attend external training events where relevant.
Regular regional group meetings also take place to provide additional peer support/training for our Case Managers.
Case Managers employed, interviewed by CQC inspector, felt that ILS offered a high level of professional support and supervision. Comments included:
- “the best, most supportive organisation I have ever worked for”
- “Supervision is regular and constructive.”
Enthusiastic professionals want to work with ILS because of the excellent training and support provided. Training is central to our pursuit of excellence. Whether you’re a potential service user or a potential team member, it’s worth finding out more.
