Lucy Thorn – Professional Mentor
I joined ILS Case Management in 2011 and worked as a Case Manager for a number of years before becoming part of the professional mentoring team, supporting the Case Managers on a day-to-day basis.
Having qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1999, I spent many years working in the NHS with adults with complex neurological conditions including brain and spinal injury.
My case management experience includes working with clients with prolonged disorders of consciousness. I now enjoy utilising my skills and experience to support other case managers ensuring that our clients receive the level of support they require. All mentors have a detailed understanding of the clients supported by their Case Manager mentees, and I recognise the importance of being able to provide continuity to clients should their own Case Manager be unavailable, and I enjoy working with clients in this way.
I am an Advanced Member of BABICM and a member of CMSUK.
When I’m not at work I enjoy cooking, entertaining, live music and walking my dog and am also kept busy supporting my sons in their various sporting activities.
