Tim Gilbert – Professional Mentor
I am a Professional Mentor supporting a number of ILS Case Managers from different professional backgrounds.
I joined ILS Case Management in 2004 and have worked as a Case Manager with many clients with different conditions. For the last 10 years, I have worked as a professional mentor for Case Managers with a varied caseload of clients.
I have a Diploma in Adult Nursing and have worked exclusively in neurorehabilitation and acquired brain injury since qualifying, initially in the NHS and later in the independent sector. Prior to becoming a Case Manager, I worked as a Unit Manager in a brain injury unit specialising in extreme challenging behaviour.
Outside of work I enjoy travelling to destinations with a ‘dark’ history including the Balkans and more remote parts of Eastern Europe. I am also a classic car enthusiast, with a particular interest in SAABs. At other times I can be found spending hours in coffee shops endlessly chatting and people watching.
