Key Skills

  • Strong advocate for clients
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Defining clear goals and outcome reporting
  • Compassionate and empathetic
  • Dynamic with strong communication skills
  • Social Worker who is also a trained physiotherapist

I have gained extensive experience of working with individuals and their families with ABI/TBI to assess their needs and requirements to provide a holistic package of care and support.

My time in the physical disabilities team has enabled me to support individuals who have sustained brain injuries through various life events including road traffic accidents, drug overdose, sports injuries, violent assaults, and health issues such as strokes, brain aneurysms etc.

I understand the importance of multidisciplinary team working and I regularly work alongside speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and specialist neuro rehabilitation consultants to ensure a holistic approach is taken which addresses all aspects of a person’s care. I also work alongside organisations such as Headway and BIRT.

I am very thorough in my approach and have excellent communication skills which enables clients and their families to identify and engage with the process and communicate their individual situation, their wishes, desires, and goals which enables me to provide the care and support they require.
