Profile

I qualified as a paediatric nurse in 1997 and later as a health visitor in 2000 and have predominantly worked with disabled children and their families since then in a variety of acute and community settings.

I am a motivated advocate able to empathise with clients and their families. The child and family are paramount to everything I do and I strive to ensure they are fully supported, physically, emotionally and psychologically.

During my career in paediatric nursing and community complex care services, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience working with children with complex medical and healthcare needs. This has included liaising and working alongside multiple agencies across health, social care, education and tertiary care developing excellent professional relationships and a thorough understanding of how care works within the community setting as well as working with children and families in hospital and at home following illness, injury and trauma.

I am adept in completing thorough assessments, writing and implementing individualised care plans and have vast experience in organising and implementing  care packages.  I feel priviledged to have worked with numerous families who have a child with complex needs and am delighted to be using all this experience in my role as a paediatric Case Manager for ILS.
