I have strong interpersonal and communication skills which enable me to develop good working relationships and rapport with my clients and their families. My experience in a range of treatment approaches, including Bobath, Sensory Integration and 24-hour postural management, support my case management skills.
I have extensive experience in assessing for specialist equipment in home and in school, providing manual handling guidance and advice on resources for transition into nursery or school.
2010 to Present Case Manager/Occupational Therapist with ILS.
2003 to Present Advanced Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist: Anita works for an independent charity. Anita provides Occupational Therapy to children, who have a diagnosis of Neurodevelopmental delay, mostly in the form of cerebral palsy and its associated difficulties.
1987 to 2003 Community Occupational Therapist: Working initially for the London Borough of Hounslow and later for Surrey County Council, to provide equipment and adaptations for children and adults, in their own homes. Anita has had extensive training in the field of major adaptations and experience of liaising with architects, manufacturers and funding authorities.
1985 to 1987 Basic Grade Occupational Therapist: Anita worked for a large Health Authority in a Rotational post covering a variety of clinical settings.
