Anita Reals - Dip C.O.T

Anita is a highly specialist Paediatric Case Manager and Occupational Therapist who qualified in 1985 from the London School of Occupational Therapy.

In addition to her clinical work, Anita’s warm and personable manner and use of great interpersonal and communication skills enable her to develop a good working relationship and rapport with her clients and families. Anita is trained and experienced in a range of treatment approaches, including Bobath, Sensory Integration and 24 hour postural management.

Additionally Anita assesses for specialist equipment in home and in school, provides manual handling guidance and advises on resources for transition into nursery or school.

Anita provides professional assessments and reports, to support an educational placement or adaptations to the home as well as short term occupational therapy input to address specific difficulties i.e. handwriting issues.

2010 - Present Case Manager/Occupational Therapist with ILS.

2003 – Present Advanced Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist: Anita works for an independent charity. Anita provides Occupational Therapy to children, who have a diagnosis of Neurodevelopmental delay, mostly in the form of cerebral palsy and its associated difficulties.

1987 – 2003 Community Occupational Therapist: Working initially for the London Borough of Hounslow and later for Surrey County Council, to provide equipment and adaptations for children and adults, in their own homes. Anita has had extensive training in the field of major adaptations and experience of liaising with architects, manufacturers and funding authorities.

1985 – 1987 Basic Grade Occupational Therapist: Anita worked for a large Health Authority in a Rotational post covering a variety of clinical settings.
