Profile

Kate has over 25 years’ experience as a Registered general nurse, with particular expertise and post registration qualification in critical care. She has worked as a Case Manager for the last 8 years and has worked previously in both acute and community settings, including orthopaedics, critical care and as a clinical coordinator of complex care packages for children and adults requiring long term ventilation as a result of spinal and / or traumatic brain injury. Kate has extensive experience of setting up and continued management of complex ventilator dependent care packages for children and young adult / older adults with neurological injuries. Kate can offer training to support staff on many aspects of complex respiratory management and also buccal midazolam training for those clients with epilepsy, their families and support workers.

Kate is an effective communicator who is conscientious and dedicated to her clients and their families. Helping them to identify goals and achieve optimum outcomes whilst liaising and managing multidisciplinary input. Kate is a compassionate professional who advocates strongly on behalf of her client to ensure best interest decisions are reached.
