Rehana is an experienced Occupational Therapist who qualified in 2001, with expertise in both case management and rehabilitation. She has a broad knowledge base and has extensive experience of working with clients in the areas of acquired brain injury and mental health, including clients who have complex needs resulting from acute or long-term medical conditions. She has worked in challenging environments in both the public and private sector, devising and implementing bespoke care packages to maximise personal independence in both the home and the community.
Rehana assesses for and implements client-centred rehabilitation programmes, establishing short-term and long-term goals focused on the individual’s specific needs. Confidently assess an individual’s environment for adaptations and identify the barriers to independence. Rehana also has experience of developing training programmes for support workers or the families of individuals who care for clients with complex needs. Rehana has developed her skills further, to incorporate work-place assessments, including transferable skills analysis and vocational rehabilitation in the work place.
