2014 – Present Case Manager and Occupational Therapist with Independent Living Solutions, working with children and young people.

2014 – Present Independent practitioner, working with a team of Speech & Language Therapists, Child Psychologists and Play Therapists.

2007 – April 2014 CLCH NHS Trust- Senior I Occupational Therapist working with children with complex physical, learning and social communication difficulties, including those whose behavior can be challenging. Utilizing highly developed clinical skills to implement a range of assessment tools, Susanne provided informed reports detailing recommendations and implementing interventions across a range of environments. This role encompassed a significant element of service development, as well as the management and training of junior staff.

2005 - 2007 Hammersmith & Fulham PCT- Senior II Occupational Therapist, providing assessment and intervention for children and their families, taking into account their environments (home, mainstream and special schools, and nursery) as relevant. The role included provision of specialist seating and equipment, and planning of structural adaptations in order to maximise independence. Susanne worked closely with children and their families, health and social care practitioners, equipment providers, as well as housing and adaptations co-ordinators.

2004 - 2005 Hammersmith & Fulham PCT- Basic Grade Occupational Therapist - Developing her knowledge of child development, assessment and treatment approaches, Susanne experienced multi-disciplinary community working with children 0 – 19 years old. She held a caseload consisting of children with developmental delay, as well as children with mild / moderate physical disabilities. Susanne gained in-depth experience in assessing the postural and sensory needs of children with multiple disabilities through supporting the Senior I Therapist in a school for children with profound and multiple learning difficulties, and delivered therapy programmes in that setting under supervision.

2003 – 2003 Hammersmith & Fulham PCT – Rehabilitation Assistant supporting elderly clients to return to independence after surgery.
