Friday 21st May is Hats for Headway - the finale of Action for Brain Injury Week – an annual campaign which aims to raise awareness and give a voice to brain injury survivors. The theme of this year’s event was ‘A Life of Lockdown’, focussing on social isolation after brain injury, and how this has been exacerbated by the pandemic. As well as having an awareness-raising focus, it also promotes positive messages and provides tools to brain injury survivors and carers to help them better explain to their friends and families the challenges they face as a result of their injury.
At ILS Case Management we have always been keen supporters of Headway and value the work that they do, so we get involved with their campaigns whenever we can. This year, we all proudly donned some of our finest headwear in support of Hats for Headway.
As well as posting the group photo on our social media channels using the hashtag #HatsForHeadway, we also made a donation of £100 to show our support.
We look forward to getting involved in more events across the year.
