One of our Case Managers, Kim Small, is trekking Mera Peak in the Himalayas to raise money for Neverest Orthopaedics. She set off on for Nepal on the 17th of October.
Kim is part of a team hoping to raise £250,000 to build a new Spinal Treatment Centre in Nepal - there's currently only one and the rate of spinal injury is high, meaning that people are more likely to die of a spinal injury unlike in the U.K.
Mera Peak is almost 6500 metres tall and is Nepal's highest trek. Kim has done plenty of training, and will be trekking between 5 and 8 hours a day!
We've donated £100 to her cause, and if you'd like to donate you can visit Kim's JustGiving page.
