“We’re so grateful for the fantastic support, our students absolutely love their swimming gear!” Lucie Sim Davis, Corporate Fundraiser
Treloar’s students made their mark recently at a national CP Development Swimming Gala where spectators cheered from the poolside as students Ben, Emily and Andre swam 35M, 110M and 170M respectively – the furthest any of them had ever swum before!
They proudly received medals for their achievements but just as importantly, the day was also about having the opportunity to socialise with other children from all over the country at various swimming levels.
Treloar Trust provides education, care, therapy, medical support and independence training to young people with physical disabilities from all over the UK and overseas with an emphasis on giving them the confidence and skills to achieve their full potential. This includes working towards personal goals and independence, something that aligns perfectly with our values here at ILS.
ILS have supported Treloar’s over the years by sponsoring a number of projects and we look forward to continuing our relationship in 2020. Treloar’s have invited us to visit on numerous occasions and last year, our MD Alison Barker enjoyed a tour of the school and college, meeting several students, therapists and care staff in the process.
“A number of our clients have an association with Treloar’s. Their multi-disciplinary approach, use of cutting edge technology and their enthusiastic commitment to sport and music make it a vibrant and exciting place for students to achieve their personal goals. ILS are delighted to support their work.”
