Claire is an Occupational Therapist who since 2001 has specialized in the area of wheelchairs, seating and 24-hour postural management. Claire has had experience leading a team who assessed and prescribed wheelchairs and seating for adults and children with complex disabilities and provided 24-hour postural management in hospitals, schools, day care centres, and a Head Injury Unit.

Career to Date

Posture Management Specialist Occupational Therapist with ILS since 2014 - Providing comprehensive assessment and intervention for people with complex physical health needs. Advice and support for provision of 24-hour specialist equipment, including wheelchairs, seating and sleep systems.

Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist, Stockport NHS Wheelchair Service (September 2001-May 2015). Leading a therapy and support team, assessing and prescribing for wheelchair and seating needs for adults and children with complex disabilities.
Providing interventions for 24-hour postural management and working alongside full Multidisciplinary Team in multiple settings, such as hospitals, schools, day care centres, Acquired Head Injury Unit.

Working within an interdisciplinary Community Rehabilitation Team.
