Career to Date

Juliette has over 20 years’ experience of working with children aged 0-19 with a wide variety of diagnoses. She has worked in a variety of settings such as special schools, nurseries, within assessment teams and a Sure Start local programme.

Juliette’s past experiences have included:

  • Lead Physiotherapist for child development teams assessing/treating babies and infants with developmental delay and evolving diagnoses.
  • Postural assessment of children with complex disabilities and the prescription of equipment to meet postural needs.
  • Provision of training and the assessment of competency to school staff in the safe use of equipment and the implementation of Physiotherapy programmes.
  • Prescription of equipment and orthotics to maximise function and physical skill development.
  • Setting up the Physiotherapy aspect of a Sure Start local programme, offering enhanced therapy to children aged 0-5 and taking the lead on physical activity within the programme.
  • Supervisor to junior staff and students (clinically and around safeguarding issues)
  • The evaluation and audit of aspects of Physiotherapy to ensure best practice

Juliette has received training in the use of solution focussed therapy and collaborative goal setting.

In addition to her ILS work, Juliette works as the Lead Therapist in a special school with children aged 2-19.
