Here are the charities we have supported this Christmas:
Children's Respite Trust
The Children’s Respite Trust is a charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with profound learning and physical disabilities. They provide essential respite care, offering families in East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton and Hove, Surrey, and Kent a much-needed break.
bibic
bibic is a national charity supporting children, young people, and families living with neurological, genetic, and developmental conditions such as autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, and brain injury. They provide assessments, therapy, and practical strategies to help individuals thrive and improve daily life.
Headway
Headway is a UK-wide charity dedicated to improving life after brain injury. It provides vital support, information, and rehabilitation services through a network of over 100 local groups and branches, helping survivors, families, and professionals to promote understanding and enhance independence and quality of life.
Headway Cardiff & South East Wales
Headway Cardiff & South East Wales is a local charity supporting adults with acquired brain injury and their families. Established in 1985, it provides counselling, outreach, carer support, and its Independence and Wellbeing Centre, helping over 500 people each year improve independence and quality of life.
Rose Road Association
Rose Road Association is a Southampton-based charity supporting children and young people with complex physical and learning disabilities. They offer respite care, community outreach, playschemes, and family advice, helping over 300 families across Hampshire and surrounding areas live fuller, more supported lives.
Crisis
Crisis is the UK’s national charity for people experiencing homelessness. Founded in 1967, it provides education, employment, housing, and health services through its year-round programs and Crisis Skylight centres. The charity also campaigns for systemic change and runs Crisis at Christmas, offering warmth, companionship, and support to thousands each year.
Smile4Wessex
Smile4Wessex supports the Wessex Neurological Centre at Southampton General Hospital, funding cutting-edge equipment, enhanced facilities, and pioneering neurological research. Established in 2004, it raises money through community fundraising and events like galas and challenges. The charity ensures patients with brain injury, stroke, dementia, and related conditions receive top-quality care.
St Michael's Hospice
St Michael’s Hospice is an independent charity providing compassionate end-of-life care for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families. Its multidisciplinary team offers inpatient care, hospice-at-home, day support, spiritual care, and bereavement services—funded mainly by donations.
STEPS Rehabilitation
STEPS Rehabilitation is a charity based in Sheffield delivering intensive residential and day rehabilitation for individuals recovering from brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, and complex trauma. Housed in a purpose-built facility with hydrotherapy, gym, skills kitchen, and specialist therapy spaces, it empowers clients to rebuild independence and reach their potential.
The Wave Project
The Wave Project is a UK-wide surf therapy charity supporting children and young people (8–24) facing mental health, behavioural or emotional challenges. Through NHS-recognised, evidence-based programmes at 16 locations, it combines surfing with peer-led support to boost self-esteem, resilience, and wellbeing—impacting over 2,500 lives annually with help from volunteers.
West Country Hawks Wheelchair Rugby Club
West Country Hawks Wheelchair Rugby Club is the South West’s leading wheelchair rugby team, founded in 2011 in Plymouth and Exeter. Open to all ages and permanent physical disabilities—doesn’t require wheelchair use—it offers weekly training, competitive and social play, and pathways to national competitions, empowering players and volunteers across the region.
Fletchers Foundation
Fletchers Foundation is a UK charitable foundation, launched by Fletchers Group in January 2023. It supports individuals and families affected by life-changing injuries or illnesses—including those unable to claim compensation—by awarding grants for aids, equipment, rehabilitation, therapies, home adaptations, and respite care to help them thrive.
