Learning and Development Manager
Susie joined ILS in January 2007, and manages our Learning and Development team. She is also an active Case Manager for ILS.
She has a BHSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy and since qualifying as an OT, has worked for over 20 years with children and young people with additional needs and their families in a variety of settings in both statutory (NHS and social care) and independent sectors.
Susie has extensive Case Management experience and also in the planning and delivery of a wide range of training sessions to case managers, team leaders, carers, solicitors, OT students, and healthcare professionals. She has spoken at various conferences on Case management and related topics.
Within ILS, Susie is responsible for the planning and delivery of the ILS induction and the training programme for ILS case managers and head office staff, and manages the organisation of the ILS conference. She also continues with a small case load of Case Manager clients and mentors other Case Managers and deliver training sessions as required to solicitor firms.
She is a member of the British Association of Occupational Therapists, an Advanced Member of BABICM, and a member of CMSUK
Outside of ILS she enjoys cooking, singing in a choir and is a regular attendee at the local park run. She spends most weekends standing at the side of football and rugby pitches cheering on three sons in their various teams.
