My many years of nursing experience in ICU caring for critically ill patients has enabled me to be very aware of the trauma clients and their families experience when involved in a catastrophic event. I know the importance of both supporting clients and families as they adjust to life-changing injuries. I have been complimented on my empathetic and sensitive approach and always aim to treat all my clients as I would wish members of my own family to be treated should they be in a similar situation.  I take real pride in my day to day work and always strive to achieve the best possible support, therapy  and care for my clients.

Carried out client facing disability assessments for personal independence payment applications which involved extensive report writing. Reviewed clients with severe disabilities who were unable to complete their own assessments, liaison with the involved healthcare professionals and the client’s network of support to ensure they received the benefits to which they were entitled.

Responsible for carrying out respiratory assessments in the community and associated intervention based on longer term or acute symptoms.

Responsible for nursing care for critically ill patients, many of whom had been catastrophically injured in an accident.
