What Ongoing Case Management Involves

Consistent, responsive support over time

Our Case Managers work alongside clients, families and the professionals involved to provide ongoing support as needs evolve.

This includes:

  • supporting clients to identify and review personal goals
  • planning and coordinating rehabilitation and support
  • liaising with solicitors, deputies, insurers
  • liaising with statutory services
  • monitoring progress, outcomes and costs
  • responding thoughtfully to change

 

We work with clients during litigation and post‑settlement, supporting continuity and ensuring that decision‑making remains focused on the client’s best interests.

Coordinating Care, Rehabilitation and Support

A holistic and proportionate approach

ILS Case Managers take a holistic view of each client’s life and support needs.

Depending on the individual, this may involve coordinating:

  • therapy and rehabilitation services
  • health and social care input
  • education, vocational or transitional support
  • accommodation, equipment and environmental adaptations
  • community access, meaningful activity and lifestyle choices

We balance statutory and private provision to ensure support is clinically appropriate, proportionate and aligned with the client’s priorities.

Managing Directly Recruited Care Teams

Supporting safe, sustainable care arrangements

Where clients employ directly recruited Support Workers, ILS Case Managers can support the development and ongoing management of care teams.

This may include recruitment support, induction, training, supervision and quality monitoring. We are registered with CQC to provide regulated activities in the categories of personal care and Treatment of Disease Disorder and Injury (TDDI).

 

Case Managers work closely with our dedicated Client HR and Payroll teams, who provide specialist support with robust recruitment, employment processes and payroll management. This integrated approach supports compliance and stability while allowing Case Managers to focus on delivering high‑quality clinical case management.

Clinical Leadership, Governance and Quality

Throughout ongoing case management, Case Managers are supported by ILS Clinical Leads, who provide continuity, reflective discussion and clinical guidance as cases progress. This strengthens consistency and supports safe, well‑reasoned decision‑making in complex and long‑term cases.

Our work is underpinned by robust quality governance, aligned with recognised best practice and professional standards, supporting accountability, effective risk management and continuous improvement.

A Skilled and Experienced Team

ILS has a nationwide network of more than 50 specialist Case Managers, providing coverage across England and Wales.

All Case Managers have clinical professional backgrounds and extensive experience supporting children, young people and adults with complex and catastrophic injuries. They are committed to truly person‑centred practice and provide bespoke support that reflects each client’s circumstances and aspirations.
