Each Christmas, we invite our top referrers to name a charity of their choice and alongside donating, we are happy to highlight their work on our social media channels.
Here are the charities we have supported this Christmas:
Rose Road Association
The Rose Road Association is a charity that provides direct care services including overnight short breaks, community-based and onsite outreach and day services, holiday and Saturday play schemes and SEN advice services for hundreds of children and young adults with complex physical and learning disabilities across Southampton, south Hampshire and surrounding counties.
2Wish
When a family loses a child or a young adult the effects are devastating for all who knew and loved them.
2Wish’s mission is to ensure that all those affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young adult aged 25 or under receive the bereavement support they need and deserve.
They provide immediate and ongoing support, such as memory boxes, bereavement rooms within hospitals, counselling, play therapy and complementary therapy.
Children's Brain Tumour Research Fund
Part of Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group, their unique fund will support pioneering new research into childhood brain tumours, improving the understanding of these cancers and finding new, less damaging treatments.
Oxford Head Injury Services
Oxford Head Injury Services aim is to improve people’s lives post-brain injury and ensure that families and carers are better able to cope within their caring role. They also offer community support across the whole of Oxfordshire to help those who live in remote areas or cannot access their centre or simply require further support at home.
Second Chance
Second Chance are a therapy-led centre offering day services to adults living with acquired brain injury. Their centre, at the heart of Wakefield, provides effective rehabilitation services delivered by dedicated, professional and compassionate staff.
St Michael's Hospice
St. Michael’s Hospice is an independent charity based in Basingstoke, supporting people across North Hampshire who have a life-limiting illness, are facing the end-of-life or experiencing bereavement.
Their dedicated team of nurses, doctors, and therapists deliver free, high quality, compassionate end-of-life care and support to patients, their families and carers.
Brainwave
Brainwave is a charity that exists to help children with disabilities and additional needs to achieve greater independence by aiming to improve mobility, communication skills and learning potential through a range of specialist therapies.
The Brainwave Programme aims to develop the maximum potential of each child by taking an integrated approach to their physical and cognitive development and by aiming to enhance a child’s social skills and emotional wellbeing.
bibic
bibic is a national charity based in Langport, Somerset. It delivers therapeutic programmes to children and young adults aged 6 months to 25 years. They support individuals with developmental and neurological disabilities and difficulties to achieve their potential and live happy and fulfilling lives. bibic sees them with or without diagnosis. We provide assessments and holistic, bespoke developmental therapy through working with our team of specialist Developmental Therapists.
The Children's Trust
The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injuries and neurodisabilities. They offer specialist rehabilitation, education, and community support to help children regain skills and confidence. Their services include therapy, healthcare, and activities like music and day trips, ensuring children receive necessary care while enjoying their lives.
Brake
Brake, founded in 1995, is a charity focused on preventing road deaths and injuries and supporting road crash victims. They offer emotional and practical support through the National Road Victim Service and engage in community projects, educational programs, and national campaigns to promote road safety and advocate for victims’ rights.
Children's Respite Trust
The Children’s Respite Trust is a charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with profound learning and physical disabilities. They provide essential respite care, offering families in East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton and Hove, Surrey, and Kent a much-needed break.
ChemoHero
ChemoHero is a North Devon charity that provides “Boxes of Kindness” to chemotherapy patients on their first treatment. These boxes contain useful and luxury items to support patients through their cancer journey. Founded in 2014 by Lisa Wallis, the charity has gifted over 2,900 boxes to date.
